This privacy policy describes how FundHero uses Personal Information of contributors using the FundHero system to make contributions to FundHero users and clients. “Personal Information” means information that can be directly associated with an individual and includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, and more. When contributing through FundHero, FundHero may collect the contributor’s name, postal address, phone number, email address, occupation, employer, and other information.
Among other Personal Information, FundHero requires a contributor’s email address when making a contribution. FundHero may add contributors’ email addresses to FundHero’s email list that FundHero, its business partners, and users may use to send donation confirmations, updates and information regarding FundHero or any of FundHero’s business partners, and otherwise as provided herein. Contributors can unsubscribe by sending a request to mail@fundhero.io.
Candidates and organizations receiving donations through the FundHero system may be required to report contributors’ contributions and Personal Information to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and relevant state agencies.
FundHero securely transmits contributors’ credit card information through one or more payment processors. FundHero does not store this information unless a contributor requests that it be stored for ease of future payments or for a recurring contribution. FundHero may share Personal Information with FundHero’s payment processors and other third parties in connection with the processing of contributions. The use of Personal Information by any such third parties is governed by said parties’ privacy policies.
FundHero may use or share Personal Information without a contributor’s permission (i) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, or violations of FundHero’s terms of use, (ii) in connection with the processing of contributions or other services FundHero may offer, (iii) with FundHero’s app customers and users, (iv) with third parties with whom FundHero has a strategic business relationship, or (v) as otherwise required by law. In such cases, FundHero will use or share only as much Personal Information as is required for the applicable purpose.
FundHero may use cookies. Contributors can disable cookies by modifying browser preferences.
FundHero does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifying information from children under the age of 13. FundHero does not permit contributions from minors under the age of 18.
